Gettysburg Tourism Down Slightly in 2005
Gettysburg National Military Park saw 18,822 fewer visitors in 2005 than it did in 2004, the National Park Service reported this week.
This 1.05-percent dip came in a year when tourism officials had predicted higher numbers due to renovations at The Majestic theater, the Lincoln Train Station and other new attractions.
I'm sure the casino proponents will use this to further justify the economic need for the casino at Gettysburg.
